Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels, a support service in Kenora and Sioux Lookout which delivers a meal to a homebound individual to meet that individual’s nutritional needs. The meals are delivered by volunteers who provide a regular social contact and some monitoring of potential crisis situations. The program runs 7 days a week including holidays. Volunteer Wheels is a support service that provides escorted transportation to medical appointments, shopping and to participate in various social activities and programs. Club Day Away
Club Day Away is a support service which provides supervised activities in a group setting for adults to assist in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of functioning, to prevent premature and inappropriate institutionalization and to provide respite and support for caregivers. Club Day Away is now available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Transportation is arranged and lunch is provided. It costs $6 per day and runs 10am to 3pm. Supportive Housing is a support service which provides 24 hour, flexible support to clients residing in Sioux Towers and Patricia Plaza. Support provided can include; personal care, activities of daily living, light housekeeping, medication reminders, exercise routines, grocery program and case management. Personal Response Service – Lifeline
Personal Response Service Lifeline is a service that gives clients the confidence to continue to live independently in their own home by ensuring that help is only a button push away. To call for help, you simply press the Personal Help Button you wear as a pendant or on a wristband. The personal Help Button activates a small in-home communicator that automatically dials the Lifeline Response Centre. For fees please contact Community Support Services: 737-3142.

Club Day Away requires drivers to pick up and return clients Tuesday’s to Friday’s or help out with the program.
